Brief description of the contents:
This course offers an overview of the hospitality industry, exploring its evolution, organisational structures, and key service areas such as lodging, food and beverage, and events. It introduces students to sector-specific terminology, global trends, and the increasing role of sustainability and innovation in shaping modern hospitality. Business models like franchises, hotel chains, and new forms of tourism accommodations are discussed, along with operational principles and guest service expectations.
